iLBC
Internet Low Bitrate Codec (iLBC) is a narrowband speech codec suitable for VoIP applications, streaming audio, archival and messaging. The codec is designed for narrowband speech and results in a payload bitrate of 13.33kbit/s with an encoding frame length of 30ms and 15.20kbps with an encoding length of 20ms. The iLBC codec enables graceful speech quality degradation in the case of lost frames, which occur in connection with lost or delayed IP packets.
