ITU G.726
ITU-T recommendation G.726 provides 40, 32, 24 or 16 kbit/s speech compression based on Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation (ADPCM) techniques. Unlike the majority of CELP vocoders which are more optimized specifically for speech, ADPCM is applicable for general audio signals such as speech in background noise, modem data or even music. This recommendation includes the ITU G.721 recommendation (32kbit/s variant).
The ESPICO implementations are highly optimised, realising low memory and MHz requirements. Contact ESPICO for specific resource requirements.
